Sakshi Singh Rawat was born on November 19, 1988, in Guwahati, Assam to parents R.K. Singh and Sheila Singh. She has two siblings – Abhilasha Bisht and Akshay Singh.

Sakshi was brought up in Dehradun, Uttarakhand and studied in Welham Girls’ School for her primary education. She moved to Ranchi for her higher studies and studied at Jawahar Vidya Mandir. Incidentally, Mahendra Singh Dhoni studied in the same school in Ranchi but Sakshi was his junior. Destiny!

Sakshi has a Hotel Management Degree. She got a degree from Institute of Hotel Management, Aurangabad. As a part of her internship for the degree, she worked at Taj Bengal’s front office, where she first met Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Sakshi was previously a director of Rhiti MSD Alamode Pvt. Ltd, which is a sports association from New Delhi. Currently, she runs a foundation for orphans.
